Goslings, Ducklings + Hundarines!













Date spotted: 28th May - 2PM
Location: Chew Valley Lake - Herriotts + Heron's Green
Observation: Lots of young around today. Different families of Canada Goose. One family with one Gosling, one family with five gosling's. One family of four Coot chicks (quite old, maybe a few weeks). A family of mallards and 7 ducklings, one of these was a possible Domestic Duck duckling (bright yellow/orange) which looks like it has been adopted by the female mallard. 1000's of Hundarines? flying over the road around Chew so watch out!
Weather: Rain, Cloudy, Cold
Other Species: Herring Gull, Lesser Black-Backed Gull, Greater Black-Backed Gull (on nest), Canada Goose, Gosling's, Mallard, Ducklings, Coot, Moorhen, Pochard, Mute Swan, Domestic Duck, Barn Swallow, Swift, Ringed Plover, House Martin, Jackdaw, Crow, Tufted Duck, House Sparrow, Pied Wagtail
