Location: Newton St Loe -Patch
Weather: Sunny blue skies but very Windy 20 mph
Other Species:
Bullfinch, Yellowhammer, Linnet, house Sparrow, House Martin, Barn Swallow, Marsh Tit, Mistle Thrush, Grey Wag, Buzzard, Spotted Flycatcher, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Starling, Mute swan 7 cygnets.  32 species.
Observation:
Normal sunday patch walk but very windy out there, Very little along brook and up on to fields in fact only 6 species at Pennyquick crossroads ! (normally 22 sp. )
House Martins and Barn Swallow number very low but could be the wind keeping numbers low ? Barn's & House seem to leave end of August/Sept. But no Swifts on entire walk , but again very windy but i'm sure any day now they'll will be off ! Down on through village and butterflies almost beating the bird count ! Even saw a Holly Blue in the Village !
Butterfly count ended on 10 although mostley singles few more Speckled Woods about, this one in the convert Woodland  by Send A Cow.

While walking through Convert Woodland heard the sound of Marsh Tits and noticed a family flitting through the tree's.

At least 4 birds 2 Adults and 2 Juveniles seen, a good count for here.

Along on to lower lake and just fisherman on lake not catching ! But in between lakes noticed 2 Spotted Flycatchers busy catching flies.

Such pretty little birds couldn't locate any more but definitely 2 individuals.

While sat watching saw Chiffchaff, Juveniles and this young Blackcap family.

Another of the Spotted Flycatcher's.

Also a Kingfisher landed about 30 ft up a tree saw me then whistled off.

Seemed to be a very busy area today maybe as wind was not so fierce there this Grey Wagtail also.

Sat at upper lake noticed 7 Coot 4 Moorhen 30+ Mallards 1 Grey Heron and even a fly over Buzzard. On out through College and 4 more Buzzards seen together and a Mistle thrush was about it . A windy but pleasant walk. Ended walk on only 32 species.
