Observation:
Headed to Sandpoint for the Yellow Wagtails that have been spotted recently i thought 25+ must be easy to spot, by Cows unfortunately couldn't see the cows ! But carried on walking first along to old Abandoned Explosives testing station St Thomas Head end,  and to my delight spotted a lone Whinchat and bush !

Didn't stay for long and flew to other side of fields.

As i approached the old Mod property could see a few birds on ground Wheatear and Linnet

Seemed to get about 40 ft from them and off they went !

Headed on round towards Sandpoint and could see cows and on closer inspection could also see Yellow Wagtails !

a Wheatear popped up in front of me for a quick shot then off .

Then could here apart from Oystercatcher and gulls calling a Curlew Calling !

Back to those Yellow Wagtails, very tricky as feeding in grass but male and tucked in behind a female.

Very jumpy, it seemed the cows were munching grass maybe moving bugs and Wagtails catching flies or grubs.

Couple of Meadow pipit about too.

I left Yellow wagtails and headed round to point but looking back this was the scene. Wagtails were feeding in between cows and as i approached cows they walked off making wagtails also move, if you go slower or drop to hands and knees cows approach you and sniff your head !

Apart from a few Stonechats, Brown Argus and a single Painted Lady butterfly not much else so decided to return for another try, wanted a flight shot of them. There were at least 25 maybe more. Best effort ! Poor!

But this male let me get a little closer.

Cows almost sniffing the Wagtails up ! But time ticked away and this the best of it still a excellent day.

Thanks For Looking !
