Full 49 Species List: Here

Observation: Out through Bath Mill as normal a the first spot was a Female Blackbird with a mouth full of juicy worms.

Through Bath Mill and onto the Dog Walk, pretty quiet compared to usual, with only the usual suspects, singles of Chiffchaff, 2 fly-over Buzzard the best.

Onto Seven Acre fields, a few Skylarks up high singing. Approaching Seven Acre this Brimstone landed in the sun for a few shots.

Nothing more to note along the fields until Wayne spotted a Wheatear sat on the hedge.

As we slowly approached, it allowed some shots and then flew into the next field where we got some more pics and then we left her to it!

Another year tick, this takes us to 73

Into the Village, this Rook let us get some shots, normally the camera gets lifted and off they go!

Still on a high from the Wheatear, we were scanning the Send-A-Cow fields, then with pure panic we both spotted a Red Kite heading in our direction, pretty low! Our fingers didn't move of the shutters!

At the Lake, plenty of Goldcrest about as usual, this one having a preen!

Bottom Lake, had a few more Mallard than normal with 13 counted. Onto Top Lake a few people about but didn't seem to effect numbers, 5 Coot (after a 3 month absence, numbers are very healthy!)

2 Mute Swan, with female on nest, we seen 2 eggs but potentially for more so will keep you posted. Please can you stay to paths when visiting, one photographer was stood on the water's edge filming the Swan and Coot's on nest today.

Plenty of butterflies also at the Lakes, Speckled Wood, Orange-Tip, Holly Blue, Peacock, Comma, Small Tortoiseshell, and Brimstone. On the return back around the Lake, a Roe Deer came bounding through the hedges across the path and then back again!

A pair of Mallards, have had the first brood this year on the Lake with 8 ducklings present.

Back in the Village, 2 fly-past House Martins!!! First of the year, they were hunting over the farm.

A Male Pied Wagtail in summer plumage standing proud on the fence post.

The last tick of the day was a singing Dunnock back in the Lanes, shortly followed by the 7th Grey Heron of the day!

We also seen a total of 9 butterfly species today:
Comma, Peacock, Small Tortoiseshell, Small White, Holly Blue, Orange-Tip, Brimstone, Speckled Wood and a new one for the year.. Green-Veined White.
